First Principles for Harvest 2008
Introduction and Process
As the Lord began His formal ministry on Earth He gathered about Him leaders (disciples) who would support Him (the Man), who would support the continuation of His ministry (the Mission) and who understood the goals and objectives that formed this mission (the Ministry). These three areas taken together promised that the Mission, through the Ministry would outlive the Man. This legacy of leadership is important to the vision of Kingdom Church. For this reason we begin our second full year of ministry with a five-year plan that outlines how the mission and the ministry will be prime over the man. Founders will only to be remembered as founders unless they very early build and maintain a foundation. We are called Christians because Christ built a foundation. He devoted time to teaching, preaching and training His disciples so that they would have His heart and re-produce His heart in the heart of others. This principle of teaching, preaching and training guides Kingdom Church today and will continue for the tenure of this plan.
This plan is structured to outline what Kingdom Church will look like in 2008. It deals more with the principles that will guide the practice than the detail. The detail will be engineered each year in the form of a yearly Implementation Plan. The Leadership Team will be tasked each year of this plan to meet before the end of year to catalogue items that are remaining from the yearend. At yearend it will be decided if these carry-overs will be brought into the New Year or if they will be discarded. After the carry-overs are resolved the Implementation Plan should be prepared and distributed to the full church body on or before the third Sunday of January of each year in the body of the Annual Church Report. This strategic plan is a prophetic call to Kingdom Churchboth its leaders and its lay membersin that it offers an opportunity to Kingdom Church to become the church.
